Dirt Bikes and more

Mini-Bikes

We start campers on automatic bikes with plenty of practice time in the front field of camp. Our qualified staff cover pre-start checks of the bikes, basic maintenance, and of course a progressive course of bike handling and control. As campers become more advanced they move on to clutch bikes and the rides get more adventurous on the trails around camp. Mini-bikes is the only activity on camp with an age restriction and campers must be 10 years or older to ride.

Rocketry

As with all our craft programs, no kits are used for rocketry. Campers get to design and build their own designs. The rocketry program also covers design theory including weight and balance so that the rockets will fly successfully during the launches we schedule every two weeks. Also, as with all activities on camp, there is no additional charge for parts or materials in the rocket program.

Arts and Crafts

Campers are encouraged to bring their own creative ideas to our arts and crafts programs and our instructors also have a library of ideas ready to share including drawing, painting, candle making, tye-dye, clay sculpting, paper-mache, lanyards, friendship bracelets, decoupage and a whole host of others.

Woodshop

Woodshop

Woodshop sees the production of big and small projects that go home each year. We've had campers design and construct folding chairs, bird houses, name plates, chess sets (pictured), coat hooks and all manner of other projects. For many, it is the first time they have an opportunity to build something and use a variety of shop tools all under the experienced eye of our woodshop instructors.

Mountain Bikes

Mountain Bikes are a great way to get around camp from casual to more challenging rides on trails on and around camp. Rides range in difficulty to give campers of all ages and ability the opportunity to succeed at this increasing popular sport.

Free Time

Free Time

In between scheduled activities periods there are short periods of free time. There is also a rest hour each day after the noon meal. These are great times for campers and cabin groups to relax and socialize. We have a game-room with ping-pong, small games and pool. Cabin groups can also request scheduling of any of the other areas for a special activity.

All camp programs are elective and available to all campers (Minibikes for campers age 10 and above). Activities require varying degrees of physical ability and we have extensive experience to show that all activities are within the abilities of our camper age range. • All activities are supervised and overseen by qualified staff. However each activity will also involve the normal risks of the program elements including water, chemicals, electricity, heights, wildlife and allergens. If you have questions regarding program elements, or accessibility to program elements, please discuss them with your personal physician and/or the camp office. • At check-in on opening day, parents are welcome to visit activity areas and may specify exclusions to program elements on our check-in form.
